Patti and her family co-founded Children’s Cancer Network in 2005.  Today, Patti serves as Executive Director and her husband Steve serves as the Children’s Cancer Network Board President.  Together, they have raised two children, Jenny and Jeff.  Jenny is married and lives in San Diego with her husband, Brett.  Jeff continues to live in Arizona and  graduated from the Art Institute of Phoenix.  Jeff is a multi-time cancer survivor and through his experiences, Patti and her family know firsthand the importance of providing hope to children and families battling childhood cancer.  Patti, Steve, Jenny, Brett, and Jeff each serve in their own capacity to add value to the work of this organization. As a member of the team who built Children’s Cancer Network from the ground up, Patti brings pediatric nursing, nursing management, program development, and nursing education experience to the table. Please contact Patti for any questions, concerns, ideas and suggestions for Children’s Cancer Network.

Sherri joined Children’s Cancer Network in 2014 after 30 years of elementary teaching for Mesa Public Schools. After retiring, Sherri had also substituted for two years and volunteered at a shelter for women in need, where she held a card making class for them. Having volunteered for the past year with CCN, Sherri knew this was a place where she wanted to be…a new career where she can once again make a difference in the lives of families. Married to John, they have two grown children, Lisa and James. In her spare time, Sherri enjoys creating and designing cards, invitations and projects with her “Stampin’ Up” collection. When Sherri is not working she enjoys traveling with her family to the beach or mountains, having an evening out with friends, or relaxing with her dog in her own backyard.

Born and raised on Long Island in Massapequa, Sharon moved to Arizona in 1983 to pursue a teaching career after graduating from Oswego State University with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education. Sharon is also a Sun Devil having received my Master’s in Counselor Education in 1986 from Arizona State University. Mesa Public Schools, Taft Elementary, was my career home for 30 years where she taught all the primary grades for 26 years and then graduated to 6th grade for the last 4 years.

Volunteering has always been something that Sharon treasures. Cancer took the lives of a few friends; therefore, she dedicated her time to the American Cancer Society’s East Mesa’s Relay for Life for 3 years as a member of the entertainment committee; in addition, she was the captain of our school relay team for the 24-hour event. 4 years ago Sharon was led to start volunteering with CCN after being a fashion show attendee for many years.  In 2016, Sharon became CCN’s first Program Specialist! Coordinating a variety of programs that impact our families, representing CCN and bringing families a beacon of light on their cancer journey makes my heart sing.

Sharon and her husband Joe live in Mesa. She has 2 grown children, Hailey who lives in California and Jordan who lives on the East Coast. Dixie, Sharon’s darling golden retriever, brings her many hours of smiles and laughs. Sharon’s place of rejuvenation is the beach!

Since retiring she has been searching for just the right organization to share her skills, CCN is the perfect fit. She is using the skills learned managing the Cookie Program to implement Salesforce and loves the challenge of learning new technology. Mary and her husband John have two grown daughters, Jamie and Stacey, who both share a love of volunteering and giving back to their community. As a graduate of Arizona State University, Mary still supports the football team and enjoys traveling with her husband to an away game each year.
