Wendy started her cancer journey in March of 2013 when she was having tremendous back pain that it warranted a visit to the Emergency room. She was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. Her mom inspires her and Wendy says to “never give up and never lose hope!” Currently she is in 6th grade at Burke Basic School; she loves math, playing with friends and making crafts. “My family and God gave me the strength to get over treatment,” says Wendy.
