Children's Cancer Network believes that you and your family are survivors from Day 1 of cancer treatment.
Although there is reason to celebrate each day of survivorship, there are opportunities for special days to unite and celebrate together. National Cancer Survivor’s Day is the first Sunday in June. Please join Children’s Cancer Network as we celebrate each year with you!
2020 National Survivors Day Celebration
Children’s Cancer Network’s 2020 National Survivor’s Day Celebration was unique due to the COVID-19 situation. “Superheroes of Hope Parade of Cars” was a fabulous outpouring of joy, support, and inspiration. Thirty eight cars, each decorated to honor their own special superhero, circled Children’s Cancer Network with horns honking and people cheering. Social distancing was maintained throughout the event as all stayed in their cars. The afternoon ended with awards for the best decorations, best costume, and best signage! Thank you to our favorite Emcee, Bruce St. James, and to our favorite entertainers, Just Energy Entertainment, for helping to make the afternoon so very special!
"National Cancer Survivors Day® is a CELEBRATION for those who have survived, an INSPIRATION for those recently diagnosed, a gathering of SUPPORT for families, and an OUTREACH to the community."
