CCN’s September 27^th Hero is Macie!

8 year old Macie has been diagnosed with Ewing Sarcoma and will be finished with chemotherapy on Friday!  Next week she goes in for scans and everyone in her family has their fingers crossed that everything turns out well. Her Mom and Dad are important to her because they take care of her and support her.  The things she loves are all things from the earth such as butterflies, flowers, and animals.  She likes to swim and is in the Mesa Aquatics Club where she does the butterfly stroke.  Reading Junie B. Jones and Magic Tree House books makes her smile.  She has learned that she has a sassy sister and a crazy brother!  She would like to tell her cancer, “I’m glad that you are going to get out of my body!”
