When Lynnie was 7 years old in November 1994 she was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma, bone cancer. Living in Joseph City, Arizona, a rural area, they had to travel 4 hours one way for treatment. In February of 1995, her leg was amputated and she continued treatment until her remission. Now at 27 years old, she has been working for the Navajo County Government; in her downtime, she loves camping, fishing, riding 4 wheelers, and hanging with her family. Lynnie says, “ my family have always been there for me, especially my mom, she’s my rock!” Lynnie is inspired by other kids who are sick; you never really can tell how sick they are as they are so strong and brave. Her words of advice… never give up, no matter how bad life is.
