CCN’s September 29th Hero is Clara!

Clara is 7 years old and was diagnosed with cancer at the age of 18 months.  She was diagnosed with Germ Cell Cancer and went through treatment and surgery.  Now 5 years later during her survivor clinic visit she was re-diagnosed and the  cancer has come back in the same spot.  She is currently going through more treatments again and more surgery.  She misses school, her bestie, and other friends.  Clara gets sad but the physicians and staff at the hospital have helped her maintain a happy, positive attitude.  She admires her mom and dad because she loves them.  Playing games and going to events are some of the the things she enjoys.  Clara’s infectious laugh and her empathy for others makes her a special girl.  Her favorite motto is, “What the heck!?”
