CCN’s September 22nd Hero is Heavenlee!
Heavenlee is 4 years old and was diagnosed with ALL. She lives with her grandfather and he has shared that cancer has set the family back financially. Her hospital stay for treatments lasted 30 straight days. Now she just can’t keep up physically but she has gone through all of this like a trooper. She likes to play outside with her cousins and loves to jump on the trampoline until she is hot and then jumps into the pool. Her favorite places are the zoo and going to the Pima County Fair to go on the rides and look at the booths. The special people in her life are her mom, great grandmother Joanne, Shelly, and her grandfather, Bryan who is raising her. They would like to tell cancer to “Leave children alone!”
