CCN’s September 1st Hero is Leslie!

Leslie is 15 years old and was diagnosed with undefined leukemia.  Her cancer journey began when she was only 3 months old.  As she got older, she became more aware of what she had and started to understand it more through her yearly checkups. This journey has made her more grateful of her good health today and that she is alive.  She has a favorite Disney character and that is Jasmine.  She likes Jasmine because she is independent and she went through obstacles that got her where she is at in the end of the movie.  Like Jasmine, Leslie is independent.  She is special because she is a survivor, a warrior, and she is smart!  Leslie loves playing with her dog, hanging out with her family, and playing outdoors.
