CCN’s September 5th Hero is Ben!

Advice to other cancer survivors from Ben is, “After the first couple of months are over, the hard part is done!”  These are wise words coming from a 9 year old who has been diagnosed with Burkitt lymphoma which is a form of non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma.  His treatment has lasted longer than he thought.  It is boring in the hospital and he wakes up late at night with nothing to do.  Receiving lots of toys has helped to make it better.  The super powers he would like is all of them!  A combination of super powers would make things fun!  Going to Knott’s Berry Farm is on Ben’s “bucket list”.  He wants to go on the Silver Bullet because he loves thrills and roller coasters!
