Nothing can hold vivacious 10 year old Abby down! Diagnosed in 2007 with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia, Abby endured 26 months of chemo; in 2013 after being 6 years cancer free, her leukemia relapsed. Abby is now in the maintenance phase of her treatment after undergoing a more intense chemo protocol! Born with a heart defect and Down syndrome, Abby relies on laughter to keep her going. Anytime she can, Abby has fun; her family, funny movies and pets help keep her smiles going strong. An inspiration to many, Abby never lets her medical issues slow her down; she has been a silver medalist in swimming and a gold medalist in cheerleading with Special Olympics! Reading and soccer are 2 favorite activities! In addition singing and dancing to Lady Gaga and Katy Perry keep her moving and shaking! Aunt Kelly, her best friend, sing, dance and dress up together.
