CCN’s September 30th Hero is Yamilet!

CCN is ending our September Heroes with a bang because we have 2 heroes today!

Yamilet was 2 years old when she was diagnosed with cancer.  She was too young to even know what that means but does remember going to the hospital to get “owies”.  At that time cancer affected her by her not being able to go to the park.  She couldn’t use the restroom on her own, and she had to be very careful when playing with her cousins.  She admires her parents and family for staying strong through the whole process.  Now at age 4, Yamilet, enjoys playing with her cousins and sister.  She loves her toys and going to the movies with her parents.  She is special because she survived cancer and she would like to say thank you to cancer for showing how strong she can be.
